#1 New York Times, USA Today, and internationally bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout brings her trademark drama and intrigue to a new romantic YA science fiction series with The Darkest Star. A girl pulled into in a world she doesn't understand finds herself confronted by long buried secrets, a betrayal that could tear her life apart...and Armentrout's most swoonworthy book boyfriend yet.

Seventeen-year-old Evie Dasher knows firsthand the devastating consequences of humanity's war with the aliens. When she's caught up in a raid at a notorious club known as one of the few places where humans and the surviving Luxen can mingle freely, she meets Luc, an unnaturally beautiful guy she initially assumes is a Luxen...but he is in fact something much more powerful. Her growing attraction for Luc will lead her deeper and deeper into a world she'd only heard about, a world where everything she thought she knew will be turned on its head...

Went on Goodreads hungry for a romance and supernatural/fantasy novel to read and was immediately captivated by the cover and title of this book... 2 weeks later i fell in love with the author and the lux series!!

Basically this book was the reason why i started loving to read again, I was captivated with the thought of entering another supernatural world and the awesome cover.

“Did you love her, Luc?” “With every breath I take.”

I love Luc so much, surprisingly i love him more than i love Daemon and that's saying something!! He's badass, sweet, swoon worthy and just overall awesome... He lost the love of his life and had to got through the torture of living near her but not being able to touch her or communicate with her... i mean Nadia doesn't even exist anymore!

"You were all my good memories.”

To be very honest, i disliked Evie when i first finished the book. Like girl! Just accept the fact that you were once called Nadia! But after re-reading the book, i realized yea Evie just got a huge load of information and yea i guess she needs time to soak it all up. But Evie is badass and loyal just like Katy was in the Lux series.

They are perfect for each other and i just love love love them! And oh my god Daemon was featured ahhhh!

I just can't wait for the next book of the Origin series, The Burning Shadow, as of now i'm a huge fan of JLA and i am just screaming at the thought of re-reading this book again! Highly recommended for all you book lovers!!
